Hi, I'm Joanna Holden, and I'm running for Mayor of Katherine.

Katherine isn't just where I live—it's where I belong. I've lived, worked, and raised my family here. My children are the fourth generation of our family in this town, and our legacy includes my grandfather, Frank Streten, donating the land that became Low Level Park.
I'm running because I believe Katherine deserves strong, positive leadership that listens, acts, and works with the community.
My priorities:
- Tackling anti-social behaviour
- Keeping community spaces well maintained
- Supporting local groups and events
- Strengthening our local economy
I've contributed to the Katherine Show, Step Out, and helped launch the Katherine Ultra Challenge. I show up, and I get results.
With a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and project delivery across local business, government, and councils-I'm ready to lead with integrity, accountability, and purpose.
